One of the strategic lines of R&D in CRIDA consists in the study and validation of R&D+i solutions assessing their operational impact and quantifying the economic benefits derived from either or both the ATM system’s performance improvements and/or the cost reduction associated with its implementation. To do this, CRIDA researches and develops innovative validation techniques and methodologies to respond to the needs of its partners. This strategic line ensures that the evaluation of new solutions is based on the same principles and methods as the system performance measurements to facilitate comparative analyses. We expect that in the port area there will be quite some drone supported operations that have positive efficiency and economic effects for the companies in the port area. UASA sp. z o.o., whose full name is Unmanned Aircraft Systems Academy, is a drone academy that was founded in the beginning of 2016 near Gdańsk in northern Poland. The academy has organized and conducted many flight courses both for individuals and corporate entities. All courses were performed under the Polish aviation law which requires all drone pilots to obtain a certificate of qualification if intended flights are not performed for sport or recreational purposes.
