• Memorandum of Understanding with the European Spatial Data Research Organisation (EuroSDR), which federates European national mapping & cadastre agencies, academic institutes, industry & user groups, providing a framework for liaison between the two organisations relative to their common interest to promote RPAS related technology, standards, applications.

  • In Sept. 2014, UVS International signed a letter of intent with China Promotion Ltd in Beijing, China (AVIC Group). This Letter of Intent laid the foundation of a strategic agreement that was officially signed by the two parties during the China UAS Innovation & Development Forum in Beijing, China on 17 Sept. 2015. The general purpose of this agreement is to better implicate China in the initiatives of the global RPAS community and improve the awareness of the Chinese RPAS community relative to the international activities in the field of RPAS applications and related (product safety) standards, rules & regulations, and to strive towards goals of common concern relative to aviation safety.

  • In March 2016, UVS International signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Japan UAS Industry Development Association (JUIDA). Under the terms of this agreement, the two associations pledged to explore avenues of mutually beneficial cooperation on a national and international level relative to technological & industrial development projects, the application of technologies, the exchange of information in the fields of regulatory matters & standards, and RPAS-related conferences & exhibitions.

  • In September 2019, UVS International signed a Memorandum of Understanding with INTERREG-ICAReS to provide a framework for a continuing liaison between the two organisations. This will be achieved by maintaining and increasing the opportunities of scientific, technical and professional, as well as academic and educational exchange between their members, through a continuing programme of co-operation leading to mutual sharing of knowledge and expertise to the advantage of both organisations. Under the terms of this MoU the ICAReS partners and participants will contribute and participate in the Workgroups of UVS International’s Drone REGIM initiative.
    ICAReS is a EU funded project with as main objective to develop a cross border innovation cluster and create the necessary conditions for innovation in the field of remote sensing and advanced data communication & processing, based on needs of the following 3 priority sectors: nature, agriculture, and water & infrastructure. A durable innovation cluster will lead to the following benefits: cross border cooperation in these sectors to come to aggregation of demand, acceleration of creation of innovative remote sensing products & services, substantial use of remote sensing and improved business operations in these sectors, clarification of different national legislations, and a joint lobby for better regulations to create business opportunities.

  • In October 2019, UVS International signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the International Emergency Drone Organisation (IEDO), a non-profit association registered in Versailles, France, which is dedicated to the promotion of the use of drones by emergency services in all countries, sharing drone-related experience and information between its members, and improving drone pilot training. IEDO addresses collaborative drone-related research & development, the testing of new technologies, cooperation on issues related to the testing and implementation of technology developments with respect to data collection, processing, storage, maintenance, visualisation, dissemination and use, relative to the use of drones in the case of disasters. This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) provides a framework for a continuing liaison between the two organisations, which will be achieved by maintaining and increasing the opportunities of scientific, technical and professional, as well as academic and educational exchange between their members, through a continuing programme of cooperation leading to mutual sharing of knowledge and expertise to the advantage of both organisations.

  • In September 2020, UVS International signed a MoU with Esperia Events Pte Ltd, Singapore. Under the terms of this agreement, the two organisations agreed to jointly promote drones. Within the context of this agreement, all members of UVS International, as well as the members of its partner associations, will enjoy a 10% discount off standard rates to exhibit at the Rotorcraft Asia and Unmanned Systems Asia (RCA-UMSA 2021) exhibition taking place in Singapore on 27-29 July 2021, and which are co-organised with MDEX Asia 2021, Asia’s leading event for naval and maritime industries.
